Managers can use the transfer action request form to request internal transfers for their staff within their accounting unit. If you'd like to transfer your staff to a different position within your unit, please follow the steps below to initiate the request. Please remember that if you need to complete an external transfer, either incoming or outgoing, you should contact your HR Consultant for help. Refer to the Process Overview: Transfer Article for more information on internal transfers and the overall transfer process.

From the Staff Self Member's Profile:
1. Click the "Transfer" button.
2. Click the calendar icon in the Effective Date* field.
3. Click on a date that is the beginning of a future pay period.
NOTE: Review the Payroll Calendar for a list of begin and end pay period dates. Only future period changes will be accepted and approved.
4. Click the magnifier icon in the Action Reason* field.
5. Click on the line item that best describes the appropriate reason for your request. If the proper reason is not listed or if you are unsure of the reason to choose, click "XFR-Verify".
NOTE: The Action Reason* is displayed in the Action Reason field. Additional search options are discussed in the Process Overview: Transfer article.
NOTE: The following instructions will guide you on how to add a new position or supervisor or modify the pay rate for staff members in your accounting unit. If you are updating an existing position or adding a new one in Infor, you may skip this step.
6. Click the Magnifier Icon in the New Position field.
7. Click on the line item for the position that the staff member will be transferred to.
8. The Position code updates in the New Position field. The Shift Group, Meal Group, Position Headcount, Job, Shift 2 Rate and Shift 3 rate fields auto-populate in the form.
NOTE: Additional search options for the New Position field are discussed in the Process Overview: Transfer article.
9. For accuracy, review the Preferred Job Title, Work Schedule, Shift, Assignment Type, Full Time Equivalent (FTE), and Work Type fields for valid combinations.

This section explains how to change a supervisor for a staff member within your accounting unit. If your transfer request does not include a change to the staff member's reporting structure, skip this section and proceed to step
If this request includes a change to the staff member's reporting structure, complete this step to update the staff member's supervisor information in the Transfer Action Form.
9. Click the magnifier icon in the Direct Manager* field.
10. Click on the line item that contains the new supervisor's name.
11. The Direct Manager* field is populated with the new position manager code, the position description, and the manager name.
NOTE: You may follow the same guidelines in steps 9 - 10 to select a Dotted-Line Manager where applicable.
12. Where applicable, Follow the steps below to populate the Payrate, Payment Schedule, Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), and Exempt from Overtime fields.
If the transfer involves a change in pay rate, input the percentage increase in the Percent Increase field or directly enter the increase amount in the Pay Rate field.
Percent Increase
The supervisor entered a 10% increase in the Percent Increase field in this example. The system then calculated a new Pay Rate of 36.38.
Pay Rate - Direct Entry
In this example, the Supervisor entered the amount of the Pay Rate directly in the Pay Rate* field. The system then calculated the new Percent Increase of 9.976%.
Compensation
Verify that the information in the Payment Schedule and Exempt From Overtime fields are correct. If the information in these fields is incorrect, follow the steps below to update this information.
13. Click on the magnifier icon in the payment schedule field to select the new value.
14. Click the drop-down arrow and select the correct value for this field. Valid options are Yes or No.
Comments
15. When there is an update to the Pay Rate, you must enter detailed information about this change in the comments field. Since this is a required field, you must enter an explanation for the pay rate change in the comment field before submitting the transfer for approval.
Submit
16. Click Submit to submit the transfer request for review.
