HR - How To Add or Renew Credentials in My Qualifications

As an employee, you can add credentials to your qualifications information to your personal profile.  To add new credentials to your personal profile, follow the guidelines in this article.

From Self Service


 1. Select "My HR Profile".



2. Select "My Qualifications"


The system opens to the Self Report Qualifications Page.  Here, you can submit Credentials, Education, Experience, and Achievement qualifications for validation and approval.

NOTE: Before adding a new credential, look at both the Validated and Unvalidated tabs.  You can renew an existing credential for a new set of dates, do not Create/Add a duplicate for one that is already listed. 


3. Select "Create" to add a new credential.


This is the "Add Credential" Form.

4. Follow steps a through g to complete the add credential form.


A. Enter the current date in the "Effective Date" field.  Select or enter the reason "TAL-UPDATE" in the Reason field.  Select the magnifier icon in the Credential field to select the Credential Name.


B. Enter a keyword in the name of the credential in the description field to search for the credential you wish to add.  Press enter to view the search results.  Click on the credential you wish to add.


C. The Credential field is now populated with the name of the credential that you selected.   

If the credential that you want to add is not listed in the search options, you may enter the name of the credential directly in the other field. 


D. Select the Credential Date.  Select the most recent renewal date (if applicable).  Select the Expiration Date.


E. Listed credentials will auto populate the Source.  If the Credential Source is not listed, manually enter the credential source in the Other Source field.  

  

F. You may attach supporting documentation for your credentials on this screen if applicable.


G. Enter relevant comments in the "Comments" field.



Select "Submit" to submit your changes for approval.


Your credential is now visible on the Unvalidated tab. 

  

Your credential will remain on the Unvalidated tab until reviewed by HR.



Renew Existing Credential

1. You can renew your credential by right-clicking on the credential and selecting "Request To Renew".


2.  This is the Change Renew Form.  Here, you can make changes to your credential information.    

3. The system will default in the next cycle renewal dates but you can updated them, if different from the default.  You may attach supporting documents if available and then submit to save your changes.
