This article will guide Managers through the steps to submit a request to add a new position to staff.

Navigation: Infor >> Supervisor Self Service >> Team Position Descriptions >> Request New Position
From the Manager Menu in Supervisor Self Service:
1. Select "Team Position Descriptions".
This is the My Positions Screen.
Under Manage Positions:
2. Select Request New Position.
The system displays the Request a New Position Form.
3. Submit a request to add a new position.
a. Enter the Current Date for the Effective Date*.
b. Enter the Proposed Position Name*.
c. Select the folder icon in the Position Description Document field to upload a copy of the job description for the new position.
d. Select the calendar icon in the Date field and select the current date.
e. Select the Organizational Unit* for the position. This is the same as the scheduling team in WFM.
f. If the Direct Manager* position does not default, select the search icon to select the Direct Manager.
g. Enter the FTE** in the FTE field. If approved, the FTE here will be added to the Approved FTE allocation as ongoing add to staff. Or you can enter .001 for PRN or a temporary role such as summer intern. If FTE should be moved from a different job to cover this position, please explain in the comments.
h. You do not have to populate the following fields if you attached a copy of the job description to the Position Description Document field.
i. Describe the Position, List Responsibilities, and Other Information in these fields. You can find guidance to complete these fields in the Supervisors Guide for Position Descriptions in Vision HR.
j. Please enter your reason for adding this role in the Comments field. For example: Is this a new role or promotion? This field is required. It is critical that you provide enough information for the approver to make a decision.
k. Cancel/Save as Draft/Submit.

Review Submitted Actions
You can find your submitted request from the Actions link found on the My Service Center menu in Staff Self Service.
If you need to view the process of your request or make a change to your request, you can withdraw your request from the Actions menu.
For detailed instructions on viewing submitted action request, review "How to View My Actions" in Vision HR.
NOTE: You will not be able to post a vacancy until your request has been approved and completed by HR.
