WFM - Request Time Off

WFM is a time management application used for scheduling & timekeeping, helping ensure employees receive timely and accurate pay for hours worked. WFM is also used to submit time off requests for approval. If you need to submit a time off request in WFM, you can do so within the current pay period. The open pay period ends at noon on the Monday of the pay period close. Be sure to check the pay period calendar for pay period close dates. This article will walk you through steps required to submit a time off request in WFM.

1 - Access My WFM Time & Schedule Menu

    From Staff Self Service, select My WFM Time & Schedule.

2 - Select Request Time Off
3 - Request Time Off Calendar

This is the Request Time Off Calendar.  It's a good idea to check your balances before entering Time Off Requests.  You will find a link to your PTO and EIB Balances in the upper right hand corner of the calendar. 

     

   

4 - Select Time Off Date Select the date on the calendar for your time off request.

 

   

   

5 - Request Time Off Type

Click the "Search" icon in the Type: field.

When submitting a time off request, it is essential that you choose the correct Type: for your request.

Select the Type: code for your request.

  • To select the correct Type: code, left-click in the "Search" field.
  • Press the "Tab" button on your keyboard until you reach the Type: code for your request.
  • Left-click on the Type: code to select it.

NOTE: If your mouse is equipped with a wheel, you can use the wheel to scroll down to view additional Type: codes.

The selected time off type populates in the Type field.


6 - Select Period of Absence

Select the clock icon in the "Absence" field.

When submitting time off request, ALWAYS select "Partial" for the Time of Absence. 

NOTE: This applies to all time off request whether you are requesting time off for your entire shift or for a portion of your scheduled work hours.


7 - Select Start and End Times

  Enter the Start and End Times in the Start Time and End Time Fields. 

NOTE: The system defaults to AM for the Start and End Times.  Select the AM Toggle to switch the time to PM.


Select "Done" to save your changes.


    


8 - Select Reason Code

 Select the "Search" icon in the Reason* field.

  

As with the Type: code, it is essential that you select the correct Reason * code for your time off request.

  • To locate the correct Reason * code, left-click in the "Search" field.
  • Press the "Tab" button on your keyboard until you reach the Reason * code for your request.
  • Left-click on the Reason: code to select it.

NOTE: If your mouse is equipped with a wheel, you can use the wheel to scroll down to view additional Reason * codes.


The Reason code populates in the Reason * filed.


9 - Enter Comments

Provide any relevant information regarding your time off request in the Comment field.



10 - Apply Time Off

Select Apply Time Off to save your request in the system.



11 - Submit Time Off Request

Your Time Off Request is saved in the system but is not submitted for approval. Review the time off request for accuracy before submitting your request. 

Select "Submit Time Off" to submit your request. 

Your Time Off Request is updated on the Request Time Off Calendar.


12 - Request Time Off Notification

You will receive a notification in your Outlook email once your supervisor reviews your request for time off.

NOTE: If you need to cancel a time off request in WFM, you can do so within the current open pay period and before your time off request is approved. The open pay period ends at noon on the Monday of the pay period close.

For example, if the pay period begins on 6/5 and closes on 6/18, you can submit or cancel time off request until noon on Monday, 6/19. Be sure to check the pay period calendar for the pay period close dates.
