HR - How To Assign a Mentor by Manager

When assigning one mentor to a member of staff, the system automatically assigns that mentor the role of primary mentor.  Similarly, when a staff member is assigned more than one mentor, the system designates the first member of staff in the list of selected mentors the primary mentor role.  The following article demonstrates how to assign and updatehttps://coa.visionhelpdesk.com/manage/# the role of mentor for a member of staff. 

Note: The primary mentor will automatically be sent to Children's University as the "supervisor" to assign training and to receive notifications about training due or completed.


Navigation:  Infor  >>  Supervisor Self Service   >>  My Staff  >>   Click Name   >>  Mentors


Assign a Primary Mentor


1. Click on the name of the staff member that you want to assign to a mentor.


2. Click Assign Mentor.


4. Click on the Magnifier Icon in the Mentor* field.

5. Click on the row that list the staff member that you wish to select as Mentor.  

NOTE: A staff member must be assigned the role of mentor to appear in the Select Mentor list. Email [email protected] if you need a new person added to this list. 




6.  Click the check box beside the Primary Mentor for Mentee field.  

NOTE: The system populates the Employment ID of the selected Mentor in the Mentor* field.



   
7. Click Submit.


8. The system displays a notification that the selected mentor will be designated as the primary mentor for the member of staff. Click OK to proceed. 

9. Employee 300720 is now designated as Primary Mentor for Employee 300721.
